Position Overview

Do you love people, details, and ice cream? We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused leader to join Sweet Science Ice Cream as our next Store Manager. This isn’t just a job,  it’s a chance to be part of something special. Key Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, ordering, and weekly reporting

• Create schedules, hire and train staff, and oversee day-to-day team needs

• Lead customer service efforts, responding to feedback, inquiries, and concerns

• Handle cash deposits, reconciliations, and petty cash management

• Maintain store facilities, equipment, and vendor relationships
   

Qualifications

• Retail or hospitality management experience preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Proactive problem-solver with a customer-first mindset
   

Compensation & Benefits

• Total compensation typically in the mid-$60,000s per year

  • Base salary: $48,000–$55,000 per year:

  • Tips (averaging ~$12,000 annually)

Position Overview

We’re looking for a diverse group of individuals who all share a common interest of taking care of each other and our guests...helping make Sweet Science Ice Cream the best place to work. Our favorite thing (besides ice cream) is building community! We are proud to offer competitive wages, an energetic work environment and lots of ice cream!!

Please keep in mind our desired attributes when applying:

• 17 years of age or older (or completed Junior year of high school, whichever happens first!)

• Can stay unapologetically positive in a fast-paced, high volume & customer-facing position for 6-8 hours (It’s never boring!)

• Can stand on your feet for long periods and perform physically-demanding tasks. Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs

• At least 3 days of open availability per week, including weekends (Saturday availability required and daytime weekday availability preferred), holidays, and late-night shifts (10pm/11pm)

• Provide consistent, world-class service to every single customer

• Have great people skills and be able to talk to just about anyone!

• Bring people joy and help build community while working as a cooperative team member

• Be familiar with what sets Sweet Science Ice Cream apart from other ice creams

• Exhibit passion for community, an eye for detail, a willingness to clean (a lot), stamina (to serve people in long lines), and the ability to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment

• Respect for food safety and hygiene standards
